World premiere screenings of two locally produced films.

My Father's Vietnam
| Directed by Soren Sorensen | 79 min. | USA 2015. World Premiere.

A personal film about a public subject, My Father’s Vietnam began as a conversation between filmmaker Soren Sorensen and his father, who enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. The dialogue with the father inspired the son to locate, contact, and shoot interviews with family members of two of the men his father served with who were killed in Vietnam in 1970. Featuring never-before-seen photographs and 8mm footage of the era, the film sheds new light on a disturbing chapter of American history that continues to deeply impact those who lived through it.

Amaryllis | Directed by Neal Mercier | 12 min. | USA, 2015. World premiere.
