Sterling Noren is an award-winning filmmaker from Bisbee, AZ who lives to explore, discover, create and share. He studied film and video at Grand Valley State University in Michigan before moving to Seattle in 1993 where he worked in the region’s emerging technology sector. He created his first adventure motorcycling film in 1998. After several years of freelance work as a video editor, cameraman and producer, Sterling set sail with Royal Caribbean International cruise line where he lived and worked at sea for two years as a world-traveling video specialist. He returned to Seattle in 2002 to work as a documentary film editor, and founded his own company in 2007 to produce films and advertising for the adventure motorcycling community. In 2015 he directed a feature length documentary called Run Free - the True Story of Caballo Blanco, about one man’s efforts to preserve the long-distance running culture of the Tarahumara Indians in northern Mexico. The film was screened in over 100 cities and won many international film awards. He is a founding member of the Backcountry Discovery Routes organization and works with partners including GlobeRiders, Touratech, Rawhyde Adventures and BMW Motorcycles. Sterling regularly presents his films before live audiences and encourages others to live inspiring lives of travel and adventure!
